Roma plays soccer in a courtyard surrounded by Soviet-era five-story apartment buildings. He gets the ball, notices an open teammate, but decides to act on his own. He loses control, and the ball flies toward a group of older teenagers nearby. The teenagers approach, push one child, hit another, and intimidate the group. Roma tries to intervene but freezes under pressure. The teenagers mock them, take the ball, and leave, ending the game and leaving the children discouraged.
